Gingerbread Cookies

Tis the season to be jolly.What is up guys.It is the most wonderful time of year and the most fun.Christmas is almost here and what better way to celebrate than with the best gingerbread cookies ever?That’s right.Today we are going to be making gingerbread cookies,perfect for this time of year.Simple but so sumptuous.Check it out.

ingredients

50g of flour.A little bit of extra for dusting

1tsp of baking soda

2 tsp of  ground ginger

1 tsp of ground cinnamon

125g of butter

175g brown sugar

1 large egg

4 tsp of golden syrup

Optional

icing in whatever colours you like

method

Pre-heat the oven 180 degrees celsius

In a separate bowl,mix together the dry ingredients and butter

In a another bowl,whisk together the egg and golden syrup

Add it into the dry ingredients until it clumps together

Tip the dough onto a clean surface and knead until smooth.Wrap it up in cling film and place in fridge to chill for about 15 minutes

Roll the dough on a lightly dusted counter top until its about a centimeter  thick

Use cutters to cut them into shapes and place onto a tray lined with grease proof paper or just grease it with  butter or oil

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until light golden brown

Take them out and once cooled decorate with icing being as creative and festive as you like
